Meeting with VC Nishtar University on behalf of NSUK.
Just had meeting with VC Nishtar University on behalf of NSUK.
Head of the Department of Neurosurgery Prof Jalal and Prof Naheed Chaudhry and Prof Bilal Saeed from Burn Unit were also present. I had already met Prof Khalid Querashi head of department, general surgery.
Collaboration on teaching and training and also on clinical care with NSUK was discussed in detail.
It was agreed to run Colorectal workshop in August and Neurosurgery Workshop in October/November this year. We will continue ongoing training programmes in Plastic Surgery and Burns.
It was also agreed to continue or explore the same in other specialties. The programme of Webinars will be shared with Nishtar Administration so that the dates can be planned.
I also had meeting with Principal Nishater few days ago on the same subjects.

We’d a great meeting of NSUK Irish Chapter in Dublin yesterday and we were warmly welcomed by the Nishtarians in Ireland . We are grateful for their hospitality.During the meeting, the Executive Committee unanimously agreed on an important change:
- The Irish chapter will be coapted with NSUK
- The name of our WhatsApp group will officially be updated from NSUK to NSUKI to better reflect the Irish chapter’s identity. This marks an exciting step forward.
- Furthermore, it was also agreed to share the database of Ireland based Nishtarians to NSUKI and the paid members will be added into the NSUKI group.
